Help for people with allergies and asthma

Avoid dust moths. House dust mites are tiny creatures that live on human skin flakes, pollen, and fungal spores. Their bodies, secretions, and feces contain particular proteins that can trigger asthma, eczema, and allergic rhinitis. Dust mites prefer warm, moist, and dark environments and are often found in bedding, carpets, and soft furnishings. Regular washing, vacuuming, and professional steam cleaning of your upholstered furniture, rugs, and rugs will help reduce dust mites inside the home.

Wash your bedding weekly. Pollen, dust, and other allergens accumulate on bedding. Get rid of those nasty things by washing your bedding and stuffed toys weekly in water warmer than 55½°C. Test the dryer according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Freshly cleaned sheets not only feel great, but also help you get a good night’s sleep.

Vacuum once or twice a week. To help keep allergens to a minimum, vacuum your carpets and upholstered furniture regularly with a motorized or rotating brush. Consider using an asthma- and allergy-sensitive vacuum with a HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) filter that traps a large number of very small particles that other vacuums recirculate into the air in your home.

Spring cleaning regularly. As we mentioned in our previous article “Top 10 Spring Cleaning Tips,” dusting and cleaning will help remove allergens from your home. Use a damp cloth on all surfaces as it drastically reduces airborne dust during cleaning. Improve indoor air quality by clearing and removing excess junk.

Wear undergarments and outerwear. While you’re outside, your clothing is exposed to allergens that come back with you into your home environment. It is a good practice, especially during the spring, to have separate clothing for inside and outside. Changing your clothes when you return home will help reduce the amount of exposure.

Wash your hair before going to bed. As with clothing, pollen and other airborne particles can also settle in your hair during the day and get on your pillow and bedding while you sleep at night. Limit your exposure to these triggers by washing your hair before bed.

Control pet dander and saliva. Pet hair and fur can trigger allergies, but it’s not the main source of pet allergy problems. Dog and cat dander (shed fur) and saliva are the most common causes of allergies in the home. Other pets like rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, and mice can also trigger asthma or allergies. If you have pets indoors, professional steam cleaning will help remove pet dander and saliva from your carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture. It is best to keep pets out of the bedroom and give them a weekly bath.

Remove and control mold. Mold and mildew grow best in damp, poorly ventilated areas. It triggers nasal congestion, respiratory infections, and exacerbates asthma and allergic conditions. You can clean moldy surfaces and also prevent its return by keeping your home dry and well ventilated. Reduce humidity in bathrooms, laundry rooms, and roofs by sealing leaks and repairing pipes. Try to limit indoor potted plants that have a water source, as they also promote mold growth.

Eliminate cockroaches. Cockroaches carry a variety of bacteria and disease-causing organisms that can trigger allergy and asthma symptoms. Roaches prefer warm, humid conditions with a prepared food source. You can treat minor infestations yourself by sealing off all areas where roaches can enter, emptying trash bins regularly, and using baits and traps, as they are less likely to irritate rhinitis and asthma.

Give your home an Allergy Treatment. Allergy Relief Treatment is a solution that contains a powerful natural plant-based active ingredient. It is a very safe, simple and highly effective way to change the shape of allergenic proteins such as dust mite droppings and pet dander. As a result, allergens are no longer “recognized” by the body’s immune system, which alleviates the body’s allergic response. The Allergy Relief Treatment is recommended to be used in conjunction with Steam Cleaning to refresh and revitalize your carpets and upholstered furniture. People who suffer from allergies and asthma will find much relief from this natural way of cleaning carpets.
