Firefighter

Firefighter is a profession that requires courage and dedication. It is one of the most dangerous jobs that can also be very rewarding. Construction Worker

Construction workers are a significant part of the informal economy and suffer from multiple forms of exploitation. Many live in slums with limited infrastructure and access to basic services. Despite these challenges, some states have taken steps to improve the lives of construction workers. For example, Delhi and Maharashtra have mobile daycare centres and provide workers with healthcare insurance. In addition, Kerala has set up institutional systems to support non-resident migrant construction workers who go to Gulf nations for work.

Most construction workers are daily wage labourers, earning between 200 to 400 rupees a day. Many of them support families of three to five members. Some also work in rickshaw pulling or at small restaurants or phone booths to earn additional income. They often live in shanties located near the project sites and have to travel long distances to get food, water and sanitation. They are reluctant to work at big projects, as they prefer working through LCs that pay higher wages and allow them more freedom. Moreover, they feel that contractors on big projects do not pay them adequately or delay payment.

Stunt Performer

The job of a stunt performer is one of the most dangerous jobs. It involves taking the place of actors in dangerous filming situations and performing stunts that require a high level of physical fitness. Stunt performers also liaise with stunt co-ordinators and attend training to learn new skills. They also prepare and review scripts and plans for films to ensure they meet the required standards of safety.

A well-known example of a stunt performer is Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan. The Greek God actor is incredibly fit and prefers to perform his own action sequences rather than relying on a body double. He even refused to use a body double when he was doing a stunt on top of an aeroplane for the movie Khatron Ke Khiladi.

Another notable stunt performer is Bollywood actor Vidyut Jamwal. The martial arts specialist impressed everyone with his edge-of-the-seat stunts in Force and Commando. He has trained in martial arts since the age of three and was a gymnast earlier on. He has even won several awards for his stunt work. Body double Asif Mehta is a popular stuntman in the Bollywood industry and has worked with many celebrities. He is very experienced and always tries to avoid any scratches or bruises on his clients.
